As we move on from the confusion of recent months, we’ve made big new plans for the coming ones.
As well as the launch of our ‘Living Warriors’ films across the BBC, we are about to launch a new COVID care home project to:
– train carers in our Listen Out Loud process
– speak to them, and to carers and family members at home, about their experience of looking after people with a dementia during the COVID outbreak
– gather that material into a book, for distribution to care homes nationally, to let those incredible teams know they are NOT (and have not been) alone in their frustration and isolation
– and develop the material further, into a live performance about personal experiences of living with a dementia, for touring in 2021
Also, we are rolling out the Normal? Festival as a new, online, and live programme of events stretching out over the coming months. Our events for this will start this coming October, and (as if that wasn’t enough, we are) contributing, in partnership with Creative Folkestone, to events for World Mental Health Day at several special sites around the town.’
